My company transferred me back to South Africa 2 weeks ago, and since I require access to internet, I decided to go to Cell C Fourways to obtain two giga20 contracts. I provided all the papers they requested with the exception of a payslip but gave a copy of my contract, since I have just returned to the country, and I have not received my payslip yet. They refused to give the contract.
I called the Cell C call center where someone stated that it is indeed possible to do the contract with all the papers I provided. Then my boyfriend went to their Hatfield branch, and they stated that the papers I have are enough, I must simply obtain a letter from the company stating my income and my current position.
After obtaining it I went to Cell C Greenstone who said that since I don't have a payslip, I must have 3 months credit history.
The reason why I don't have a payslip is because I have not been in the country long enough to have a 1 month pay slip. So how can I have a 3 month credit history?
After speaking with the Fourways branch, the call center and the Hatfield branch, credit history was not mentioned and the last 2 assured me that the documents i have would suffice!
