Sony Experia Go spontaneous screen fail no repai

I purchased a Sony Experia Go on 12 July 2013. The phone was fine until 18 July when the phone, while sitting on my office desk began cracking by itself. Myself and two people in the office witnessed the screen cracking by itself.

Amazed, and suspecting that nobody would believe this could happen without the phone being dropped - we videoed the incident.

I returned the phone to MTN but they refused to honour the 7 day guarantee, saying that physical damage had occurred.

Obviously, we did not have the camera rolling when the screen first started cracking - but it does show the screen spontaneously cracking in my hand.
