On Friday I received a call from a man called Gilbert a Vodacom rep. He said you have received free phone and voucher no costs involved whatsoever; I asked him will this influence my current contract, he said no. It is not a contract it is all for free. On Wednesday I got the phone so I called Vodacom and they told me I now have a new contract so asked them to come and fetch the phone and not activate the contract. Just received a sms that the contract is activated and the limit is R4001. Now I have to call around to cancel a contract that I did not even ask for. I am taking this to the consumer protection. As I was given false information and victimized.
