Vodacom
Misleading contract

At the end of 2011 I got a phone call from a vodacom call centre agent offering me a free Samsung galaxy phone for being a loyal vodacom subscriber etc etc. To cut a long story short the phone was not for free but was linked to a contract of R155.00 per month. The number in question is 07670799

I gave the phone to Thandi Ntini, my employee with the understanding that I would pay for the contract and she would pay for the calls over and above the contract. Thandi's bills are so high every month as Vodacom, on this contract charges exorbitant call rates. During peak times vodacom to vodacom is R1.75 per minute, to non vodacom phones it is R2.70 per minute. Off peak it is 90c per minute and if she downloads whatsup mesages etc it is R2.00 per megabyte.

I feel that this contract is nothing but a ruse for vodacom to make money off unfair call charges, nobody is told of the call rates etc when taking on a contract like this. I have tried to get out of this contract but I am told I need to pay up until the end of December 2013. I would appreciate your assistance in getting out of this ridiculous front of a contract, vodacom can have their phone back with pleasure.

Regards
Wendy
