Omitting that porting at later stage will cost me

I recently went into the Centurion branch to enquire about a contract. I spoke to a sales lady whom I asked about the specifics of the RBM200 contract. I also asked her about how porting of my current number would work as I was still in a contract with my old service provider and would like to keep my current number. She told me I could port the number at a later stage and thus their was no reason to delay my sign up. When I told her I would like the contract she informed me that RMB200 contracts can only be applied for online.

I completed my online application. A consultant phoned me and we went trough the contract. The consultant did ask me if I wanted to port a number to which I replied, not right now as my current number is still on contract and that I will port it later. I told them this as I was under the impression that a later port would also be free.

Today to my shock when I tried porting my number I was told it would cost me R250.If either one of the two sales consultants would have told me about the cost I would have waited the 9 days before opening the contract an thus avoid any costs.

Would you guys please port my current number and wave your R250 fee?
