I have a contract with MTN for Samsung GT-I9100 (04 April 2012). My phone started giving errors when charging, i took the ohone to a MTN shop and they only switched it on and off and they said it was ok. But it still continued giving the same error. While i was charging it one day, smoke wa coming out of the phone only to realise that the phone charger port was burnt. I took it back to MTN where they said they will send it for repairs. I was called on the 22nd January 2013 to puck up my phone. When i got to the shop a lady called "Thabile" gave me some papers and said they wont fix my phone since it wa liquid damage. She said i kust pay R5400bfor repair or R5765.13 to replace it. The phone never had liquid contact and the fault was with the phone charger port. This is extremely disappointing that the phone is less than a year old and already gave me problems. I was told that i must take my sim card and put it on another phone, while im continue to pay this contract for 14 months. I want my phone to be repaired at no cost as they never attended to the fault the first time i took the phone in.
