Stupid rules

My cell number was through my previous employer and when I left the company they allowed me to keep the number. Vodacom in Pinecrest assured me the only way to do this was to migrate the number to prepaid and then wait a period of 3 months before being able to go back on contract. The Hillcrest Vodacom now tells me it is actually 6 months that I have to wait! However, Nashuamobile say they can port the number and have me on contrac t tomorrow! If Vodacom cannot sort out their antiquated ideas and put me on contract I will be doing just that and the 3 numbers that I already have with Vodacom I will move across to Nashuamobile as soon as the contract period is up. The salesman at Hillcrest was totally uninterested when I pointed this out and told me to go to Nashuamobile! Seriously?
