Incompetence and bad attitudes

I am astonished by the bad attitude I got from the staff at Vodashop in Cresta Johannesburg.
I recently bought an ipad and needed to buy data for the device. I had a sim card from a previous 3G acc and simply wanted to find out if I would still be able to use the sim card for pay as you go, although the acc had already expired. I got referred to 3xdifferent people, finally a gentleman, who was extremely rude to me from what felt like the second he figured that I am not enquiring about a new contract, checked the system and told me that it was a number not belonging to me, which I find very strange.

After finally regaining his attention, as the man and a sales colleague was childishly throwing each other with pieces of paper over the customers heads, I had to ask what felt like the dumbest question ever; "If I was to get a new sim card what options do you suggest for buying pre-paid data and how much would a new sim card cost? " I was then referred to another lady, who supposedly dealt with new pay as you go sim cards. I waited for 5mins to get her attention to help me. Writing about this makes me angry all over again. I really don't understand how such bad service is acceptable. Pathetic
