Hi,
It seems like I am another customer that has been ripped of by Integrat.
I have received an sms on 16 July stating that I have a virus on my phone. It seems pretty legit as I couldn't log into my internet service on my phone - it kept saying that I must remove the virus first.
Soon after that I have received another sms saying "to protect your phone, download our FREE anti-virus software for Anroid phones" - which I have obviously tried. l My phone kept on blocking the app. So I took my phone to Cell-C to have it formatted.
Big was my shock when I received my bill this month and there is almost R300 worth of charges that is not belonging there as I did not use all my data or free minutes. Cell C told me that it is a company called INTEGRAT.
Has anybody actually receive a refund from them? Can anybody tell me if it is even legal to be subscribed to a service through an sms like this?
INTEGRAT, I INSIST ON A REFUND FOR THESE CHARGES AS I WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FACT THAT I AM SUBSCRIBING TO ANY SERVICE FOR ANY CHARGE AT ANY TIME. IT IS ILLEGAL TO HIDE COST CHARGES FROM POTENTIAL CLIENTS AND I WILL OPEN A CRIMINAL CASE AGAINST YOU.
Regards,
