8ta contract

I received a contract cell phone as a present from my partner who happens to be my ex now, the contract had to end this month yet I had to receive my monthly airtime and data for the last month instead of doing that and changing my Sim from contract to prepaid they deactivated my number, then we reported on Monday the 5th at 8ta store and they opened a case of activation yet the number was not activated, I then called again on the 7th to check wat was happening as they said we should wait for24 hours, when I called they then told me that there was no case lodged and had to open a new case which they asked me to call after two days if the sim was not activated and I called again today but they told me that the case was un attended. And possibilities are my number might be already given to someone else.
