I recently applied for a contract at MTN Hatfield for a S4 mini. The staff explained my contract's T&Cs. However, the handset had writing on beneath the glass, which we didn't notice in-store. I returned it as I was told, "If there is an issue within 7 days, we'll swap it out instantly". Initially a staff member tried to convince me this was normal. Then after realising their mistake, the "instant" replacement was out of stock. This is understandable, but the staff made no effort to accommodate me. I was told that I could keep the phone, although if I scratched it they'd not replace it. They said I'd be contacted after receiving stock the next day. After no word, I went to enquire. There I was assured that they'd receive stock today. I questioned this as it's a public holiday and was told their drivers only clock off at noon today.By noon today, with still no word from MTN, I contacted them only to be told that their driver is not working today. Could they not be bothered to let me know? The store made no effort to contact me when I asked them to and made idle promises when I confronted them about the issues. I doubt this is how MTN wants their staff to conduct business.
