I phoned the MTN Retentions Department last month, end of June, to find out if they have any special deals for me since I've been a loyal customer since 1994. The lady I spoke to then told me that I can phone them the following month because then I'm due for upgrade and will be able to help me then.
So I phoned Retentions now again as my upgrade is due tomorrow, 1st of August. According to the person I spoke to I can't get any better deal or special or whatever as the Marketing Department setup a fixed deal.
So it seems like I just have to go with the standard deal and that my business doesn't mean anything to them.
I have one contract due on the 1st of August, one on the 1st of November and one on the 1st of February. So what should I do now? Upgrade or find out if another Service Provider can give me a better deal? I'm sure another SP will be happy to receive my business of 3 contracts with another 2 contracts to follow in the future seeing that I have 5 contracts with MTN.
Or maybe, a big maybe, I just didn't speak to the right person.
