Since upgrading to a 4 meg (uncapped) line It has come to my notice that the download speeds that MWEB sell (at R899) per month are un-obtainable in the area where I live (Noordhoek). I have requested to MWEB that they credit me with the difference between a 1 meg line and 4meg line for the period that I have had been paying for the 4meg line (this amount to approximately 2 years).
I have conducted random speed tests on the download speed and have offered these to MWEB on more than one occasion. MWEB seems uninterested in resolving this issue and have offered a "token" reimbursement (they refer to it as a credit).
I am claiming:
1. the difference between in monthly rental between the 1 meg and the 4meg line for the length of time I have had the 4meg line.
2. Reimbursement for the cost of the telephone calls to MWEB and
3. Reimbursement for my time spent on the telephone calls to MWEBS call cente
