REFUSAL TO REFUND

Its been two months now trying to resolve this issue to no avail. I opened a contract with Telkom for data services after they assured me I would get coverage (Case 5999046) which I did not. After a month of trying to get my contract cancelled I finally managed to cancel the contract. However Telkom would not refund me the R372 charge for data I never got to use. They informed me that the R372 is now a cancellation fee which makes no sense seeing that it was their lack of service that FORCED me to cancel the contract in the first place.

This is unacceptable, and I understand it is only R372 but it is the principal of it. I urge all who read this to not let big corporations treat us unfairly simply because to them we are nothing more than 'business revenue'.

Should this not be resolved and should I not get my R372 refund I will post weekly complaints on this site (as well as any other public forum at my disposal) and hope that the cost of lost potential customers to Telkom, equates to my R372, and only then will be even.

Frustrated.
