I took my iPhone in which had intermittent fault on bottom speaker which i told them. They sent me home with a flat battery temp phone only to find out it was phone locked and had to drive all the way back to change it which was far as they only have one repair center as i am told. Two hours later i get a sms informing me it would cost around R7500.00 to repair and is beyond economical repair and my warranty is now gone as phone is liquid damaged. I told them that no liquid has ever touch that phone at all but they wanted to hear nothing about it.
I rejected the quote and took the phone to ifix in town which specialize in iPhone repairs and they gave me a price of R349.00 that afternoon to repair the phone and it has no liquid damage at all just faulty speaker which they now replaced and it works fine now. I now have a phone which does not have a warranty anymore. When i called person to inform them which was supposed to be the manager he asked if he could check paper work and call me back in ten minutes which he never did. I would like cell c to take my phone back and cancel my contract.
Very disappointed as got so many friends to port across to cell c.
