My (insured by Autopage) Iphone 4s was damaged on 29/06/2013, on 01/07/2013 I contacted the Heidelberg Autopage Branch to enquire how long a claim would take, and what would be required to settle the claim as soon as possible. I informed the Heidelberg branch that it is a matter of absolute urgency as the phone is a vital business tool. My average cellular account exceeds R2000 per month with ease.
The phone was handed in, and and the claim started on 03/07/2013. On 16/07/2013 I received an sms informing me the repair cost is R3384.55 that must be paid by myself to get the phone repaired. The claim was re-submitted, and the repair claim moved to an insurance claim.
This is completely unacceptable the reason for having cellular phone insurance is to minimise the effect a broken/damaged phone would have on your business. This is clearly not the case, Autopage Cellular Call centre is of no help either. They are still under the impression that I have a Blackberry phone, and are un-aware of any claims/repairs.
I have told the Heidelberg branch, If I only knew that the claim would take forever, I would purchase a replacement unit, problem solved
