I APPLIED FOR A CONTRACT WITH CELL C 24 JUNE AND REQUESTED BY NUMBER TO BE PORTED FROM MTN. ON COLLECTION OF MY HANDSET 29 JULY 2013, I DISCOVERED THAT THE INCORRECT PACKAGE WAS CHOSEN BY CHAD. HE THEN HAD TO PUT THRU A STORE CANCELLATION TO CORRECT. IT TOOK CELL C FIVE BUSINESS DAYS TO CORRECT. ON COLLECTION A SECOND TIME 6 JULY, I DISCOVERED THAT THEY ARE CHARGING ME R40 MORE, WHICH THEY SAID WOULD PREVENT ME FROM RUNNING UP A HUGE BILL. I TOLD THEM THAT THAT'S NOT FOR THEM TO DECIDE OR ASSUME. THEY SAID THAT THEY WOULD HAVE TO DO ANOTHER STORE CANCELLATION. I WAS SO FURIOUS, I TOLD THEM TO CANCEL EVERYTHING AND TO RELEASE MY NUMBER SO THAT I COULD MOVE BACK TO MTN, THEY AGREED. ON THE 16 JULY 2013, CHAD ADVISED THAT MY NUMBER WAS RELEASED AND WOULD BE AVAILABLE FOR REPORTING. TODAY THE 23 JULY, I AM STILL WITHOUT A PHONE BECAUSE A PORT REVERSAL WAS NOT REQUESTED, INSTEAD THEY PUT MY NUMBER ON PREPAID. NOBODY AT CELL C VANGATE OR HEAD OFFICE (JHB) ARE TAKING OWNERSHIP. I AM AT THE POINT OF TAKING THIS MATTER TO THE OMBUDSMAN.
