I got a new contract from vodacom, 10 months ago, and did not need a handset at the time, so opted for a reduced rate, and was put under the impression that i could "upgrade" when ever i need, but lo and behold their meaning of "upgrade" and my perception of "upgrade" is two different things.
The only solution, According to Vodacom custome care to get a handset on contract from them in this situation,
is to pay them for 14 month's contract fees, GET NOTHING in return,
then open a new contract with a handset and then keep on paying!!!
