My husband has two contracts with Auto Page. He uses the one cell phone and myself the other. I do all the payments every month via EFT. We always get an SMS as reminder and I usually wait for the account and seeing that I have until the 20th of each month, I sometimes only pay on the 20th. This month the 20th fell on a Sunday. Therefor I was going to pay the accounts directly into there Absa account on Saturday, the 19th. On Friday, the 18th, the two cell phones were suspended and sms's sent to us saying we've got to pay an extra R49 on each phone. I phoned customer care and they put the phones back on again, but said I have to pay the extra R49. I asked about payment date. She said the 15th, but customers USED TO get until the 20th to pay. Why were we not informed of this change? I paid both cell phone accounts on Saturday, 19th with the extra R49 on each. Now why do WE have to pay the extra R49 for information that was not passed to us? I do feel that Auto Page must refund us!! If not, I feel we should cancel both accounts on upgrade date.
