My Blackberry smart phone developed problems and so I drove from Johannesburg to Blackberry at Vodaworld in Midrand to have it repaired. Because I have many business contacts stored on my phone (both numbers and email addresses) I impressed upon the lady at Blackberry that it was imperative that these be saved. She assured me that this would be the case and she proceeded to store this information on the phone's memory card. When I returned, I was told that my phone had been replaced with an "exchange unit" I replaced my memory card and found that all my contacts were gone. The Blackberry website has no facility to send an email to them and the branch simply does not answer their phone.
