Equipment Warranty Only Valid if you can Drive

I signed up for Neotel, got delivery of my device by courier, had to sign and take the package and inspect the contents later. (No, they don't check if it's working on delivery). I installed the phone and went "live". Battled to get Voicemail working, but eventually call centre resolved that. People complained when I speak through the handset it sounds like I am talking in a shack or hollow building. I thought it may be reception, and speakerphone seems to work clearly with no complaints. Now, the device handset doesn't work at all - GREAT STUFF FOR PRIVATE CALLS. So I went to Nashua and they say they no longer deal with NeoTel. I called an agent and was told to call the callcentre, a courier will collect and swop it out. (Remember, phone was only used since 17/04/2013 - LESS THAN 2 MONTHS). So I called the call-centre, got a reference number: FCR168623898. The lady told me (after putting me on hold) that I am still under warranty - please take the phone to Midrand or Fourways. I asked if she realise how far that is from me and she apologised, but that is my ONLY OPTION. So Neotel warranty applies ONLY IF YOU DRIVE. Your phone is faulty, take a day-trip if you want it replaced.
