I called a Zimbabwe mobile number on Saturday at 1PM on a Call Per Second package and was charged R4.89 per minute when the website indicates that the rate for Zimbabwe (fixed and mobile) is R2.89 per minute. On calling the call centre I was given very unconvincing answers. The first consultant told me that the rate shown on her system was R4.89 per minute and that the website that I was viewing was outdated - very shocking. The second consultant told me that Zimbabwe mobile has different zones and the zone that I called is charged at R4.89 per minute - very shocking again. If there are different zones then doesn't it make business sense to indicate these on the website. And for an outdated website doesn't it make business sense to remove it and replace it with an updated one. I believe this is done on purpose to rob people of their hard earned cash. This is not the first time.. About two years back i had the same problem. A consultant told me the information that I used was outdated. An hour later i checked on their website only to find that the rates had been updated with the new rates. That's business in Africa!! To me this is daylight!!! I wish I had a lawyer!
