DATA ROAMING - OVER CHARGE

While we were overseas we did not switch off the DATA ROAMING on one of our phones. While we were there, we did surf the internet to show our suppliers our web site and that was probably for only 20 minutes. Because of that MTN charging us around R70, 000.00 MTN respond is: "Data usage is billed in volume (how much of data used), and not duration (how long you are connected for)... All charges have been verified as correct and charged according to interim Network agreements..."
My problem with Mtn is that they should have alerted us that we are using Data Roaming the minute we started and not leave it to escalate. When you go overseas and use your credit card, immediately, the credit card department will phone you to alert you, why MTN DO NOT DO THIS? My answer for this is that they do not care to rip innocent people off.
When I was trying to contact MTN corporate Credit Control - Lisle Morriss on Telephone 011-9115777, 011-9115775/6 she did not pick up the phone and let it ring and ring until it disconnected by it's self. I am trying to negotiate for a discount for innocent mistake and to get better payment settlement. PLEASE HELP...
