Submitted a damaged phone for repairs at MTN Menlyn on 7/6/2013. On 11/6 received SMS for acknowledgement of receipt. 12/06/2013 SMS received that phone was assessed and charge of R985 which was immediately accepted. Since then I received no communication whatsoever. Went to MNT Menlyn (25/6) to enquire on status however as so many times before they were offline (for more than 2 days), went there again (27/6) - still offline!!! Phoned the technical contact center 26/6 and informed phone was dispatched. Since then phoned every 2nd day (as MTN indicated that was time for dispatching) and still no phone. Today 4/7 phoned again and was informed for first time that payment was due before phone will be dispatched. No communication was received from MTN since 11/6 to indicate the phone was fixed, had to be paid before dispatching the phone. So over the phone I had to get bank account details and make the payment before I could examine and accept the phone. Pathetic Service to say the least. Now holding my breath that I will at least receive it by Monday!
