Stay away from Autopage!

In 2008 I opened a Vodacom Messenger (SMS) account with Autopage to use in my Alarm System. My monthly average invoice was R90.
The end of May 2013 I received an invoice for R411, 4.5 times more than the normal monthly amount! The Telephony charges rocketed from R30 to R316. My July invoice was R340. I queried the invoices with Autopage and you won't believe the response..
Thandaile told me the additional charges for May was apparently because I visited a store and cancelled the upgrade I was offered! (Not true). She could not explain the additional charges for June. I took the most sensible decision and requested that my account be cancelled with immediate effect.
She transferred my call to Nellie. Trying to explaining to her what my problem was proved to be fruitless. Initially she claimed that the product I originally bought was discontinued and replaced by a 4.5 times more expensive substitute. On challenging her to produce proof of where I concurred to such a ridiculous change, her attitude changed to; You should consider yourself lucky that we did not increase your bill a year ago when your contract actually expired! Can you believe it? Stay away from Autopage!!
