June was my month to upgrade to a new phone. I ordered the phone I wanted a month in advance to ensure that when I go to the store for my upgrade I wouldnt have a problem. I ordered my phone at the Lynnwoodridge branch, but when it came to my upgrade my phone was still not ordered and the consultant didn't seem to have a clue of what she was doing and didn't even know the products.
After another week, I decided to go to the Menlyn branch to do my upgrade, by this time thinking of switching to vodacom. I was assisted by Siphiwe, who I found to be very friendly and helpful and didn't want MTN to loose me as a customer. She did my upgrade and I got my Sony Xperia Z, but due to it needing a micro sim, she had to do a sim swap which I completely understood, but after 24 hrs it was still not active. The call centre had no answer and none of the online calls logged were responded to by a person. I went back on Friday, now a week without a phone, where Retha assisted me and logged another call and said I should wait 24 hours again because the call centre was offline for the passed week and my request thus got ignored. My phone is still not working, the sim swap has not been done!
