On the 24-06-2013 i purchased BIS on my prepaid blackberry (0834105591). R59 was deducted from my airtime balance and an SMS confirming my BIS purchase was received however the 'edge' was still reflecting in small letters. I have made numerous calls to the 173 number and keep getting told that there was a network issue experienced by MTN on the 24th. To date the BIS has not been activated on the phone. I have made countless calls and they keep telling me that the number is not provisioned as yet and is in a "Queue". This is pathetic, unacceptable service from MTN. I use the number for business purposes and constantly receive business emails. As a result of the incompetance i have lost vital correspondence since the 24-06-2013. MTN NEEDS TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE AS I AM SICK AND TIRED OF CONSTANTLY PHONING THE CUSTOMER CARE AND BEING GIVEN THE SAME STORY. MTN'S NETWORK ISSUE IS NOT MY PROBLEM AND IT SEEMS LIKE THEY ARE MAKING IT MY PROBLEM. THEY NEED TO REFUND ME IN FULL SO THAT I CAN RE-PURCHASE MY BIS INSTEAD OF ME WAITING FOR THE NUMBER TO BE 'PROVISIONED'
