I requested cancellation of my ADSL on the 26th of March 2013 and was told that I do require waiting a period of 30 days for it to take effect and will need to still pay for the month in advance (April) on a non-contract line. As far as I know it only requires a 48h period for this to take effect on a NON-CONTRACT line.

After all this I had to go into the Telkom Direct store to get a new account set up as my ADSL was switched off (even though Telkom claimed it is active). Since the new account was created I was billed double for the month of April, May and now June with no resolution to my problem and NO ONE TAKING OWNERSHIP of what is going on.

I was now told that the cancelation request done on the 26th of March 2013 was only completed on the 12th of June 2013!!! I have to pay for someone else UP!!!

I will definitely be taking this furthe
