Cancellation of contract

I am on a month to month contract with Mweb for internet to which I pay adsl line rental to. I am relocating in May therefore I put through a cancellation request on 03 April 2013 to cancel Mweb at the end of May. I was under the impression that my voice service with Telkom would be unaffected by my adsl service with Mweb as the line rental for adsl was paid to Mweb. On 04 April I contacted Telkom to cancel my voice service for 14 May 2013. Telkom informed me that they cannot cancel my voice service as the Mweb service is on the same line. On the 05 April I contacted Mweb to cancel my adsl service at the end of April and explained my circumstances for needing this to be done. On 2 phone calls to Mweb in 2 separate weeks I was informed that my contract would be cancelled for end of April due to my circumstances. On 27 April I received an invoice from Mweb charging me for the month of May 2013. I phoned Mweb and now they informed me that my contract was due for cancellation end of May. On 29 April I received a phone call from Mweb now telling me that my contract would be cancelled end of May 2013.
