Ordered a Telkom 4Mb ADSL line and voice installation. While on the phone with the consultant he verified coverage in my area. The consultant advised that if I opted for a 24-month contract that all hardware would be included (voice handset with display for CLI and Netgear Modem). Was notified that we had to be available for the whole day as it was a full day installation.

Technician only showed up after lunch time (half day wasted). Informed us that he could only install the line as they didn't carry any hardware and that it was our problem to source our own hardware. Then advised that the best line speed he'd be able to achieve would be 1Mb on the 4Mb contract. No offer for the lower cost contract associated with 1Mb line speeds. What on earth!! Naturally declined the installation.
