Dear MTN,

I've been with you as my cell-phone provider for close to 14 years. Over this time I've never once lost or damaged my phone. I've been the ideal customer.

Now that my contract is again up for renewal I'd like to ask, whats the point in staying your customer? There is no policy in place to reward me, no effort made to keep me on board.
I'm in the process of throwing away a 14 year "relationship" over a few extra Rands that I may save with another cell company, and even if I can't save anything significant I'm going to change just because it's a slap in the face not to have any loyalty to your existing subscribers.

Surely your board members and shareholders employ your CEO to run a company that attracts AND retains customers? Because at the moment the general consensus is that NOBODY cares to stay, and loyalty runs in 2 years stretches in this game. Differentiate your company from the same rubbish everyone else has, reward your long-term customers and think further out than a rolling 2 year period, and you'll see a change.

So don't take this personally but it's not me, it's you.
