Hereby write this email to explain my situation at one of your stores in cape town, Ottery.
So yesterday I was at your store shopping and bare in mind it is black Friday. I come across Smirnoff pine twist nrb 660ml for R355 for 24.
So a box consist of 12 but the advertised price states 24, I then go to the till and I was told that is the price for 1 box. I took the picture and showed the cashier.
Staff went to check and then they changed the quantity to 12. I told them but I’m going to pay R355 for the 2 boxes that was advertised. I was told that it was a human error
And was given a lame R80 discount on each box. I then had to reduce the 2 boxes to 1 because I was told to pay the actual price with 80-rand discount.
To avoid arguments with the manager I then payed 275 instead of 355 for 1 box, which I think was unfair as someone did not do their job properly.
The manager insisted that im not suppose to get it as advertised, so the 80rand discount was made as if it was a favour.
Section 23 of the CPA states a supplier cannot require a consumer to pay a higher price for goods or services then the displayed price.
