Billing went up to R1600 in 1 day!!!

On the 01/06/2013 I went to Vodacom Eastgate to hand in my tablet for repairs as it was no longer charging. I then requested for my data to be transferred from the phone memory to the memory card.

The gentleman who assisted me downloaded an application called "drop box" that would save all my documents as he couldn't transfer the data on his side and he said it only needed 100MB (clearly I was missed informed).

I agreed as that was reasonable and I handed in my phone for repairs 02/06/2013, at that date my balance was R356. Yesterday I happen to check my balance I got the shock of my life my balance was sitting on R1200 & immediately called the customer care where they actually told me my balance was R1600, this is impossible how can my balance jump from R356 to R1600 in one day??!!

I went back to Eastgate to launch a complaint 05/06/2013 however the only thing the lady could tell me was that it was for data usage & just insisted that I would have to pay the money. How can I pay for something I don't know, my bill has never been above R1000 and now I'm expected to pay R1600.

I am furious, where am I expected to get that money, this cannot be right!
