I wanted to buy a 3G Databundle and initially selected a 1GB Databundle. The Sales lady suggested that I take a 2GB databundle as its more data for a cheaper price. I agreed and bought the 2GB Databundle. Suddenly earlier this year I received a bill of approx R1400.00. I queried the bill and then the Cresta shop informed me that I am on a so called "open line". I told them that nowhere was I informed that should the 2GB databundle be depleted that I will incur additional costs. It was a huge shock for me as besides other things, I also managed the Corporate MTN account of a well known company last year where the Company has several hundred 2GB databundles and when the data is depleted the card was "soft locked" Its now approx 4-months later and still no resolution. I have sent various e-mails to MTN Online Helpdesk and Cresta branch but all I receive back is that the matter has been "escalated". MTN is very quick to sell aproduct but their after sales service is shocking to say the least - the franchisee just say they cant do anything I must talk to the Head Office. I believe that I was misrepresented during the sale and now I must pay the "penalty".
Many thanks.
