Got an SMS this morning at 08:31, from Hugo and Ngwenya Attorneys Inc., stating that I am being handed over for outstanding payments to Telkom.
After phoning Telkom, they told me that, "yes, your account was canceled on 10/05/12 but they forgot to cancel the internet contract. The internet contract was only canceled on 01/10/12, therefore you owe Telkom R476.49."
The lady I spoke to ensured me that it was a fault on Telkom's side for not canceling the internet contract as well when I canceled my land line (although I paid all outstanding fees, land line and internet, that was due when I did the cancelation.)
Where does Telkom get off by harassing me with atterneys and legal steps when they are at fault???
