NO SERVICE ON CONTRACT FAULTY SIM CARD

I am on contract. My phone got, I obtained a 'sim-swop' from Cell C Lakeside Mall branch. I paid R150. Unfortunately, my sim card said "no service". I phoned the Cell C line and they said I had to travel to my nearest Cell C (Sandton City) and it will be activated at no extra charge. I went during my lunch break, (as I am working and this is highly inconvenient) and the Sandton branch said that the Simcard had not been activated and I paid 150 for nothing. He then said if I pay him another R150, he would help me. I contacted the cell c line - they said I should go back to Lakeside mall. I do not live in benoni and was visiting a family when I was there. This is not an option for me. I was then told to phone cell C lakeside and they would remotely access it for me. I have phone several times on different days. Each time i am told - we will phone you back as soon as we know what is happening! I have not been phoned back! My sim card still does not work and I am paying for a contract that I cannot use. I have had to obtain a temporary sim card from another service provider just so I may conduct my business and have contact with the world! When will my service be activated?
