Bought R30 Pay as you go MTN Airtime on 7th May. Checked my Airtime Balance a few days ago and the R30 has vanished - I made one 9 second call!
Phoned MTN (170 option 0) and they tell me I have subscribed to Opera Telecom. What a laugh! I wouldn't even know how to do that.
My Airtime is purely there for emergency use - I NEVER make calls on my cellphone and if I should it would be an emergency and very quick call. I use an sms bundle if I need to make contact with family and friends.
There is NO ONE who has/or had access to my phone either unless it is the people at MTN who work with my phone when I go into their offices to make a query.
From previous complaints this looks like this is an MTN problem and I WANT MY MONEY BACK!
I am a pensioner and R30 is not small change to me.
I have been a loyal MTN customer from the day I got my first cellphone - if there is not a satisfactory outcome I will have to consider moving elsewhere.
Come on MTN - redeem yourself - this is just not on - in my book this is stealling my money as I did not give permission for it to be used for this subscription or whatever it is called.
