I upgraded my phone last mnth, now regretablly to a Nokia Lumia 920. Ater 6 yrs of having a Nokia (N73, 5800 Xpress, N8), the Lumia feels like the 1st downgrade and I'm definately changing to another brand!
Here are just some of the faults/downfalls I picked up:
- Phone heats up, even with minimal use
- Battery dies quickly, and needs charging atleast twice a day. The only way to make it last more than a day isnot to use it!!!
- Most social apps do not support video sending
- Cannot browse files/folders
- Poor internet functionality, eg. clearing history doesn't really clear, mobi sites don't work well (buttons are too small), but works perfectly on older Nokia's
- Standard apps from previous Nokia's are not available as std - needs to be downloaded incurring data costs.
- Poor voice quality, calls need to be redialed for the recipient to hear you (not a location issue since I have used other phones in the same area that works perfectly)
- Doesn't support OVI suite, so if you had content that you would like to transfer from an old phone, its not easily done
This complaint will probably get no attention from Nokia but atleast hope wil save consumers a major disappointment!
