I stopped using the ABSA driven @lantic email address mid 2011 - I cancelled everything over the phone with WHOMEVER called me in 2011!!! I know I spoke with someone mid 2012, but who remembers the details...
My telephone number has also changed since then and they have been contacting me on the new no.

21 January 2013, I receive ANOTHER call stating I have an outstanding account and when am I going to pay it. When I advised that this was cancelled telephonically, IN 2011, I was firstly told this was NOT possible and secondly she was not able to give me her email address but would SMS me the details.. I in the interim start typing the email. 2 days later no email address is sms'd to me. so i kept it in drafts...
TODAY
09 May 2013, I receive a call telling me I'm 200 and something outstanding and when am I paying. When i advise of the above non receipt of sms I'm advised that they SMS'd me on a number I haven't had for 2 YEARS.
THEY CALL ON 1 NUMBER BUT SMS ANOTHER.. which means they HAVE my updated details!!!
HOW CAN I HAVE AN OUTSTANDING ACCOUNT FOR SOMETHING I 1. DONT USE??? and 2. IT was deducted via DEBIT ORDER and this was cancelled cause IT WAS STOPPED!
