A week turns into a month

The 7th of April I went to apply for a migration of my sim from cellphone to data to upgrade to an i-pad. The consultant assured me it would take no longer than a week which was perfect as I was on my to Mauritius for my honeymoon. When I returned nothing was done. I applied again. After 9 more days there was still no authorization for the migration. Upon phoning, the shop the manager told me that he also doesn't understand and will escalate the request, where-after he SMS'ed me to go to shop and collect the i-pad. When I arrived there was another problem. I told them I am not leaving without the device and that I am tired of waiting. They gave me the device but I had to get the sim at another MTN shop. They told me the sim would be active within 2 - 24 hours. It's been 3 days now. The sim is still not active
