Vodacom refuse cancellation

My contract expires 7/5/2013. From beginning of April 2013 I tried to cancel on 7th with no luck. A different reason every time. They wanted to force me to carry on with contract, this I was told. On 30/4 finally somebody told me to pay due account (due 1/5) with a penalty fee then they will premature cancel on 30/4. Payment with all docs required was send. WOW at last they will cancel it. WRONG. At 16h29 and at 17h00 on 30/4 I received an e-mail with different cancellation numbers.

On the 1/5/2013 MTN tried to port my number. No luck. On the 2/5/2013 they have tried a few times but VODACOM denied the transfer every time because my account has not been paid.??? This after they confirmed the receipt of payment.

On the 2/5 at 15h20 VODACOM said that they only received my payment notification on the 1/5 at 16h00. 24 Hours after they already send me 2 confirmations. Also I was told that I had to wait another (???) 24 hours.

Never ever will I sign a contract with VODACOM. They denied me my rights to cancel my contract when I want to and then they want me to carry on with a contract that I do not want. Why then make it a 2 year contract.
