Got a MTN Broadband Lite "uncapped" contract in July last year. Was slow at stages as i didn't notice the speed it was running because i had another service provider dongle that i was using most of the time. As the dongle's contract expired i noticed that the MTN service was very slow. I phone the MTN technical department and they gave me the correct settings and the speed went up from avg. 21kpbs to over 300kbps as wat was advertised.
What was not advertised is wat i found out today from the same people that helped me before. The retailer that i bought it from said that after the 3GB of data was finished, the speed WILL NOT DROP BELOW 128KBPS. Well i'm back at 21kbps and the technical department say that the throttle of the contract after 3GB can be any number.
