MTN uncapped lite useless after cap

I took out the MTN uncapped lite package, and the lady at the sales desk assured me that after reaching my 3 Gig cap the throttled speed would still be very usable (MTN advertises it as 256 kbps after the cap). However, after going over the cap the speed has dropped to the extent that I cannot load any web-page as the browser times out. Apart from the fact that I never reach speeds over 3 Mbps while within my cap (which MTN advertises as 21.1 Mbps - actually the theoretical speed of the router), this is ridiculous - how can they advertise this as an uncapped service when they do not deliver any service after reaching the threshold - 256 kbps should be more than enough.

Think twice before believing anything they promise over a service desk.
