I recently contacted Discovery Vitality to cancel my PlanetPlatinum Membership, upon request thereof I was advised to contact PlanetPlatinum, Sandton directly. I went to their website and e-mailed the sales manager, who responded 4 days later advising me that his colleague would be in contact with me regarding my cancellation requirement.
I then decided to make contact with her directly, and did so by e-mail (cc sales manager), requesting the requirements for cancellation, as the last day of the current calendar month was 2 days away (this being 5 days after my initial enquiry). As i had not heard a word from them by 4pm on the 29th of April, i then decided to call them, whereafter the operator took my number, ID number and name and advised she would get the sales manager or his colleague to call me back. This never happened.
I e-maild both of them again today (being the 30th day of the month) advising that I am being prejudiced and that their failure to respond and handle my request will be significant should they require a calendar months notice. I have STILL NOT received a response.
I will approach the Consumer Commission now.
