I have been trying to cxd my Vitality membership since 10 December :
1ste call - 10 Dec - Waylin - informed that a cancellation consultant would phone me within 2-3 days.
2nd call - 14 Dec - Randall - apologised and promised a call on 18 Dec
3rd call - 20 Dec - Lesego - apologised and promised to escalate
1st call from Discovery - 21 Dec - Lesego to inform that I now need to send an e-mail. I refused as I was already on holiday and asked him to escalate to a manager. He promised that a manager would phone me within 5 minutes.
On the 2nd of Jan Discovery deducted the Vitality fees - I had the payment stopped at a cost of R40.
On 14 Jan I sent an e-mail to request cancellation and to complain about the lack of service. I received a mail back on 15 Jan to inform that I will get a call within 3 working days to cancel my Vitality membership.
I sent a follow up e-mail on 21 Jan to ask for confirmation of cancellation and have not heard anything.
In total I have had 1 phone call and 1 mail from Discovery.
My question now is whether it is at all possible to cancel your Vitality membership, because it does not look that way to me.
