In October my husband went in to cancel his contract with Virgin Active, Kenilworth, and the person behind the desk informed him that it would be terminating 31.12.2012 anyway, so he should just let it run its course... Well, they continued to debit my account, and increased the amount from R299 to R339. When we went to query this, we were informed that even though he'd filled in a contract with a Start and End date, that we shouldve read the fine print on the contract, because it needs to be terminated in writing, with a 30 days notice period.

So, howcome the employee never informed him of that in October??
