I have been a longstanding member of the gym and regret having to submit this complaint, I started my membership at the Northcliff sport and fitness club in 2007, where I joined under their 2for1 (R220.00 p/m) promotion. I subsequently moved closer to the Winchester Hills club and approached Jason, an employee at the time, whether I can move to WHSC. All the necessary documentation was completed and Northcliff was informed of my transfer. The Debit order remained with Northcliff.
This arrangement had continued for 3 years without any problems. I recently tried to go to the gym on my regular schedule and was denied access to the gym. Wellington then said that I was not on the books and would merely need to update my details to rectify the problem. I continued to tell him how I had transferred to WHSC from NCSC. Wellington assured me that I would not be double debited and everything would remain the same.
On 28 September and for October I was debited for a new membership (R199.00) and a replacement card (R100.00), despite the fact that I had a valid WHSC card already. I would like this matter to be resolved by the end of business this week and my account credited.
