During November 2013, I informed Planet Fitness that my banking details need to be amended owing to opening a new account.
The Planet Fitness Call Centre informed me that I would need to go into the gym I registered at and fill out a "Change of Banking Details" form. I followed this advice and filled in the form at the Fourways Planet Fitness branch.
Since December 2013, the monthly debit order has not gone through and I have received monthly phone calls from the Planet Fitness accounts department informing me that my account is in arrears and I need to make payment urgently.
Despite informing the accounts department that my banking details have been changed and that I have filled in the necessary form at the Fourways branch, they persist with the phone calls. This issue is clearly as a result of various miscommunications between the Fourways branch and the accounts department.
I have contacted the accounts department on numerous occasions and I have been promised that this issue will be resolved. However, the issue is still not resolved as I was contacted by the accounts department during the course of last week and I was informed that my account was still in arrears.
