After taking advantage of Virgin Active's open season December offer I decided to train at the Gateway branch on th 29th of December. Unfortunately I was stupid enough to trust that my belongings which I had mistakenly left LOCKED UP in the locker room with a large lock, would be safe over night. I called the following morning to confirm that my stuff would be safe and was told yes, if it was left behind the lock would be cut and conents kept aside but could not confirm over the fone. After attempting to collect my belongings through a family member I was informed that NO LOCKS WERE CUT, NO RECORD OF ONE BEING CUT and THAT MY PROPERTY WHICH WAS SECURELY LOCKED IS NOW GONE! The contents of which included a nike bag with a gift card containing R500 inside... a bag i had to buy after being promised one when signing up with Virgin but still havnt recieved. I was asked by the club manager to write a report and she would investigate. I have now been informed that that same story holds that no record of staff cuttin the lock or anything in the lost property.. and no evidence of foul play on the camera footage. And the outcome? An apology. I am utterly annoyed and will NOT be renewing!
