Virgin Active taking their mistakes out on clients

Here I was sitting at work when I receive a call from a very RUDE lady at the virgin active collections division, she basically start off by telling me my account is in arrears and I owe them R 1050 .The more I tell her that it's impossible as I have had no "return debit order " notifications sent to me, the more she is insisting that I haven't been paying. Firstly Virgin Active seriously needs to teach their collection agents a little more etiquette in how to speak to other people and they also need to teach the basic principles of listening.
I immediately went up to my local gym (Mount Edgecombe) to see what is going on as I went to check on my account and noticed that Virgin Active never even ran the debit order, hence the reason my bank never notified me of return payments. According to the lady at the Gym it seemed like there was some system issues of some sort and that's why it never went thru from their side. So for 5 months they couldnt pick up to phone or notified me via mail the first time THEY had an issue
.
I think it's extremely unfair that they now expect me to pay for this considering that it's them who had the issues and not me.
